achilles injury and wont be back in contention for the first team for a couple of weeks, and then probably another couple to get him up to speed.
McCann also injured in training by the Keeper, a knee injury that kept him out of the Dons game but Higgins had a decent game in his place to be fair.

McCann should be fit for todays game, just a knock. The sooner we get willie back the better in my opinion, big player for us last season.

"dont think he's shown face at any of the previous pre-season games either."

"Willie Gibson was at the East Fife game with Alex Burke and Graham Bayne."

And he was sitting just along from me at the Hibs game, along with someone who I took to be his wife/girlfriend.

Scott Wilson was there today.

We must be signing him ;-)

The Gibson to Hibs rumours have been as regular as the Stevie Crawford signs ones not so long back.

Rumour on the St Mirren website is that they're in talks with Pars over a fee for Gibson.

Wouldn't surprise me if this one has legs. Lennon likes to play with two attacking wingers and Saints currently have f**k all wingers on their books. Gibson on his day is definitly good enough for the SPL.

just had a look on the StMirren site and theres about 10 different players they all believe they are going to sign, this one as with all rumours is a case of believe it when i see it. various factors would come into the fee but ultimately could they pay the fee required even if they would let him go, not so sure they could.

I spoke to him as I was going in to East End on Saturday, Willie was wearing a tracksuit as he had just done some training. He said that he hoped to be fit and available for the Falkirk game.

I feel that if he was going for a move to the SPL then he would perhaps be aiming for a "bigger" team that St Mirren, not having a dig at St Mirren btw but they are a team which is expected to be fighting relegation.
