The ALBA Challenge Cup Second Round Draw

Tuesday 27th July 2010

The draw for the second round of The ALBA Challenge Cup took place this afternoon at Hampden.

The draw is as follows:-

Queen's Park v Forfar Athletic
Ayr United v Cowdenbeath
Ross County v Morton
Partick Thistle v Berwick Rangers
Dunfermline Athletic v Queen of the South
Stenhousemuir v Dundee
Peterhead v East Stirlingshire
East Fife v Stirling Albion

I can't wait for this one! Someone we've not played for 4 months, someone we'll not play again for just over 2 months, at a venue I've never been to for...er... 3 days.

On a serious note, what are the chances of that. Maybe we'll win this time...

at least its a home ie just think it could have been away in midweek with 40 or Pars fans bothering to make the trip.
the other way to look at it is, its the only cup we have much chance of winning now a days.

last year i missed this game to see U2 at Hampden.
the year before was Scotland vs Northern Ireland at Hampden.

what can i arrange this year?!

How the f*** is it a meaningless competition?
Just because the top 10 teams arent in it - there are still 30 professional teams involved (well 29 plus Queens Park) and I want to win it.
This is the level we are currently at so I want to be the best at this level and win anything thats going before moving back to where we belong.

A cup is a cup and if we can better Falkirk, Dundee, Partick, QoS and Ross County to win it - Then that would make me feel happier than winning nothing.

Some folk just have to have a moan eh!
