Juarez does look good, not a bad game so far. Lennon won't be happy with the penalty but it's not a total lost cause. An away goal would throw it wide open

Don't think Celtic are playing at all well , the Keeper hasn't had a save to make and why did they buy a Mexican , he will want away at the slightest reason and come dark nights he will be wondering what he has done .

My point is over the years plenty southern Europeans and Latin Americans have come North of the Border and cannot think of one who made a lasting impact , compare that with Northern Europeans Larsson and Laudrop who did make a difference .

Years ago Rangers signed a Chilean ,Mcnee wrote about the Dangers of doing that , away on International duty a lot more than others , Family events .

He was right

that was poor poor poor by the Tic one shot on goal all night and a massive turn around needed now, doubt they are good enough to beat this team by 4 goals. plus their defence will concede again.

Celtic now over loaded with strikers, they badly need some defenders if they want to have any chance in Europe. They also should've spent some money on a proven coach/manager

Celtic should not be allowed in europe because they are such an embarassement to Scottish football.

Well that is the line that is trotted out when a team like ours goes out at the first hurdle in the media.

So why should it be any different?

unfortunately supporters in Scotland who have watched Samaras be a complete numpty of a football player seem to be in the minority, as their are plenty decent teams in Europe who are very keen to get him playing for them.

DA No1, I do want every scottish team to do well, but i was just pointing out how differently everyone else is viewed by the media compared to the old firm.

My first line was also an example of sarcasm. Something some people around here seem to not be able to notice!

Chickens coming home to roost for the Old Firm. Hell mend them, I say.

That is the weakest line-up I think I've ever seen Celtic put into a European match. They and their 'friends' from across the city have retarded Scottish football for years and are receiving their just desserts as times are tight.

It's going to be a close SPL this year, I think; and not just between that shower of sh*te. Hopefully, other teams will step up as they step down and will take the initiative.

if they go out next week they go into the final Europa League qualifying round, if they turn it around and go through but then go out they go straight into the groups for the Europa League. that final part has changed because in previous seasons if teams went out at that stage that was them done in Europe for the year.

Dundee United looking good again. Hibs should do alright too. Im praying for someone to properly take them on this season.

I genuinely hope, for the good of the Scottish game, that this is the start of a long term level playing field in the SPL, without the tedious two horse race weve seen for far too long now.

Look at the Old Firm squads though; I can't remember a time when they've lacked quality from one to eleven. Rangers have lost their main goalscorer, half a defence, a couple of midfielders and haven't brought a single player in. Celtic have said goodbye to the best 'keeper in the division (hate him or, er, hate him) along with some a few other decent squad players, having replaced them with the cream of Scunthorpe and Cardiff City.

Mark my words, it's going to be closer this season and we could see a non-OF champion.

Celtic have said goodbye to the best 'keeper in the division

Probably a valid statement around 2 years ago. Hugely innacurate since then though.
