My local team is back in Europe tonight for the first time since '97.

They are playing away to FC Utrecht of Holland... notice the ticket prices:

I agree - ten euros is way too much for a match involving two unknown teams of continental diddies.

A solitary Swiss franc and you might be talking more realistically.

There is no need to so publicly display your lack of knowledge!

Both those teams would no doubt smash the mighty Pars, and could someone kindly remind me of how much it would cost to watch DAFC vs the likes of Queen of the South in a Scottish Division 1 fixture?

I am pretty certain it is a fair whack more than the meagre £8.35 that they are asking for the above tickets.

Absolutely correct price.

I'm currently watching this match on the internet ( Iraq Goals, free, if you're interested ). Utrecht are leading 1-0, although it really should be a hell of a lot more. Sadly, Luzern are quite awful.

I have seen quite a bit of Utrecht over the years and they are a decent side. However, despite not claiming an exhaustive knowledge about the merits of Luzern, Par in Luzern, my conclusion at the moment is this: I really don't think they would overly trouble a decent Scottish First Division side, in all honesty. Utrecht just need to be more ruthless and this could be all over tonight, never mind the second leg.

It will be interesting how the second leg pans out. The game is being played at Zurich's stadium as Luzern currently play in a temporary stadium whilst the new one is being built.

I only caught the last 13 mins of the game last night, and I know it is not much to make a judgement on, but from having attended pretty much all home games in the run in from the winter break until the end of the season, I am pretty sure that Luzern would give most SPL sides a good game.
